Members of Congress are able to nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies: U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Congresswoman Scanlon's service academy nomination process officially launched in July and will close on Friday, November 13, 2026.
