Today, Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon has released a podcast version of the Mueller Marathon, the public reading of the Mueller Report by members of Congress which took place in May.

This podcast, organized for listeners by the table of contents outlined in the report, features the voices of nearly 25 members of Congress.

“The report is incredibly detailed—certainly not tweetable—and shows a presidency founded on opportunism, lacking in understanding of history or the functions of government, and devoid of respect for public service or the rule of law,” Congresswoman Scanlon said. “When we decided to organize a public reading of the Mueller Report, we did so to bring the facts and the content of this report to the American people. Now, we’ve made this report available in another form.”

This release comes nearly a week before Special Counsel Robert Mueller is expected to testify before Congress, to answer questions about his findings concerning Russian interference in our elections and the President’s efforts to obstruct that investigation.

“As the Mueller Report convincingly demonstrates, the President and his campaign tried to benefit from the Russian government’s attack on our 2016 election, and Trump then set out to undermine our government’s investigation into that attack, committing multiple acts of obstruction of justice,” Congresswoman Scanlon added. “In so doing, the President has undermined our democracy and public trust. Having the courage to think about the long-term consequences of such acts by this administration, including the U.S.’s standing in the world, the foundation of our republic, and the rule of law should not be a partisan issue. We need all Americans to have the courage to face this cancer on our Presidency, together.”
