The challenges of our education system are a critical issue for Pennsylvanians and students across the country. Congresswoman Scanlon is a longtime education rights advocate who believes that all students should have access to quality education and post-secondary opportunities. She believes that our investments in education should give the next generation the best opportunity to succeed. Congresswoman Scanlon believes in addressing the challenges of our education system must begin with expanding access to early childhood education. She supports policy measures that fairly fund our schools, which include resources that support our teachers and counselors, safe and inclusive learning environments, fully funding the IDEA and Title I.
Congresswoman Scanlon is working to make post-secondary opportunities more affordable and accessible. She also supports expanding Career Technical Education (CTE) and apprenticeship programs so that students have the greatest number of pathways to success. Students need to know that there are jobs waiting for them on the other side of their degree or certificate programs. Investments in workforce development are critical to ensuring qualified students find rewarding jobs after graduation.
Congresswoman Scanlon is committed to fighting for middle class families and is an ardent supporter of labor and workers rights.
